Regents Prep Details:

Regents Prep classes begin on Monday and will follow the following schedule through August 16th:

- Global: 8:30 – 10:30 w/ Cruz

- English: 8:30 – 10:30 w/ Dinozo

- US: 10:30 – 12:30 w/ Cruz

- Living Environment: 10:30 – 12:30 w/ Russell

- Algebra: 12:30 – 2:30 w/ Huang

Regents Proctoring and Grading

Regents exams will take place Tuesday, August 17 thru Thursday, August 19. If you are interested in proctoring or grading, email David at dliu2@schools.nyc.gov.

Summer Bridge Closing Ceremony & BBQ

The Summer Bridge Closing Ceremony was a huge success thanks to everyone involved (including our cooks)! It was a nice event and many parents attended. Thank you again to the many teachers and support staff members who contributed.

Curriculum Week Details

This year’s Curriculum Week will take place Wednesday, September 1st through Friday, September 3rd from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Participants will receive 4.25 hours of per session pay. Details of the activities for each day are attached to the Weekly Update email that you received. Everyone is encouraged to participate. You will receive information about this school year, as well as begin working as teams. If you plan on attending please email Ms. Cook at scook6@schools.nyc.gov by Thursday, August 19th.

Teacher’s Choice

The Teacher’s Choice program will continue. This year, purchases made between August 1, 2010 and March 15, 2011 will be reimbursed up to $110 for teachers ($80 for social workers and guidance). Save your receipts!

Welcome Annie Heller

Please join me in officially welcoming Annie Heller, our new Assistant Principal. Annie has already begun working with PNA and will be an integral part of many of the initiatives the school is taking on this year. Team Meetings

PNA team meetings will continue. The teams on the calendar at the top of the page will meet and discuss goals for the upcoming school year. A special thank you goes out to Allen and Joyce for participating on nearly every team. Thank you to Millie who is diligently working on designing our advisory curriculum and to Ed, Matt, and Percy for coming in for the School Marketing and Recruiting Team meeting.
