Saturday Academy Posting
The spring Saturday Academy will run from March 2nd through June 1st. The posting closes on February 8th. Details can be found on the posting, located at the following link:
Contact Mr. Liu (dliu@pablonerudaacademy.org) if you have questions.
Condition of Classrooms
Physical space walkthroughs are frequently conducted at the end of the school day. All teachers should ensure that their rooms are left orderly at the end of the day. This includes desks organized, chairs up, all technology (i.e. projector and laptop, desktop computers, etc.) turned off, air conditioners turned off, windows closed, lights off, and door closed and locked. Laptop carts should be locked, plugged in, and away from doors. Feedback will be sent to individual teachers as needed. Contact Ms. Cook (scook@pablonerudaacademy.org) if you have questions.
Ensure Students “Look Like Students”
Students should “Look Like Students” at all times. This includes hats off, hoods, off, and pants pulled up. Additionally, in classrooms students should have their heads up, and backpacks and jackets off. Please ensure you consistently enforce these expectations for all students at all times so everyone is relaying the same message. Contact Mr. Liu (dliu@pablonerudaacademy.org) if you have questions.
3rd Period Attendance Folders (REMINDER)
In an effort to reduce interruptions to 3rd period instruction, beginning Tuesday, January 29th, 3rd period attendance folders will be placed with the sign-in sheet in the mornings. Please pick up your folder when you come sign-in in the morning. Folders will be picked up during 4th period. Please ensure that attendance is taken sometime during 3rd period and any handouts are distributed. Contact Mr. Liu (dliu@pablonerudaacademy.org) if you have questions.
Classroom Doors (REMINDER)
All doors should remain locked anytime there is no one in the room. Ensure doors are locked even if being left vacant briefly. Please notify administration immediately if a door is broken or not able to be locked. Also ensure laptop carts are locked and away from door windows at the end of each day. Contact Mr. Liu (dliu@palbonerudaacademy.org) if you have questions.
Leaving Students Unattended and Dismissing Early (REMINDER)
As a reminder, students should never be left unattended, even for a brief time. Additionally, teachers should provide instruction through the end of the class period, and students should not be let out prior to the end of a period (especially at the end of the day). If your classroom does not have a working clock, please fill out the Supply Request Form and request a classroom clock.
Bathroom Passes and Classroom Logs (REMINDER)
All classrooms are required to have a log of students who are allowed to leave with the bathroom pass. This can be the same log that is used to record late students. Please ensure that your classroom has a bathroom log and that all students are required to sign-out when they are taking the pass to leave the classroom.
Fundraising (REMINDER)
The DOE has strict guidelines for schools around fundraising. All school-sponsored fundraisers are required to have been approved by administration. Individual students should not be selling anything. Notifications of fundraisers will be communicated through the Weekly Update. Please note that baked goods and other non-packaged food items are completely prohibited. Students caught selling items without authorization are subject to disciplinary action. Additionally, staff members should report students who they observe selling items. Any staff member who purchases unauthorized items or fails to report a student selling unauthorized items is also subject to disciplinary action. Contact Mr. Liu (dliu@pablonerudaacademy.org) if you have questions.
