Respect for All Week
Respect for All Week focuses on promoting respect for diversity and preventing bias-based harassment, intimidation, and bullying. All teachers should look for opportunities throughout the week to address these issues in their classes. If you need assistance with supporting this focus in your classroom, contact Ms. Millie (mreyesluciano@pablonerudaacademy.org).  You can also find resources at the following link:
Ensure Students “Look Like Students”
Students should “Look Like Students” at all times. This includes hats off, hoods, off, and pants pulled up. Additionally, in classrooms students should have their heads up, and backpacks and jackets off. Please ensure you consistently enforce these expectations for all students at all times so everyone is relaying the same message. Contact Mr. Torres (TTorres@pablonerudaacademy.org) if you have questions.
Using the Technology Maintenance Form
During leadership meetings, teachers have expressed that the technology is becoming a challenge to use in the classroom.  In order for Mr. Romero to maintain the hardware, please use the technology maintenance form.  This way he can work on individual laptops that cause issues rather than reformatting the full cart. The Technology Maintenance form can be found at the following link:
New Lesson Plan Format
I am very excited that many of you have already adopted the new lesson plan format.  As a reminder, part of the reason we wanted to change our template was to address Academic Rigor, Differentiation, and Understanding. Contact your grade team leader or department head if you have questions.  The Lesson Plan Template can be found at the following link:
3rd Period Attendance Folders (REMINDER)
In an effort to reduce interruptions to 3rd period instruction, 3rd period attendance folders will be placed with the sign-in sheet in the mornings. Please pick up your folder when you come sign-in in the morning. Folders will be picked up during 4th period. Please ensure that attendance is taken sometime during 3rd period and any handouts are distributed. Contact Mr. Valencia (DValencia@pablonerudaacademy.org) if you have questions.
Reporting lateness and absences (REMINDER)
Beginning Tuesday, February 4, 2014 please report your lateness or absences to Mr. Diego Valencia.  Mr. Valencia may be reached at dvalencia@pablonerudaacademy.org OR (646)-633-2824.
Afterschool activities (REMINDER)
Clubs and activities not funded by outside grants will resume Monday, February 24.
