Field trip Protocols
As a reminder, all trips must follow the PNA Field Trip Protocol as laid out in the staff handbook.
Permission Slips - all students going on the trip must have a signed permission slip that needs to be turned into Ms. Heller or Ms. Del Valle so that they may be copied before leaving on the trip.
Electronics – It is the responsibility of the teachers to collect cell phones in the morning and distribute them back to students when you leave the building.  If a student is coming back into the building before dismissal, it is the responsibility of the teacher to collect the electronics of the student and give it to administration.
Installation of Deepfreeze to all student technology
The school will begin installing deepfreeze on all student technology.  The program allows the computer to reset to its original state every time the item is shutdown.  This will mean that all work must be saved on either mobile drives or in the cloud.  If you or your class have documents on the devices that cannot be transferred before the end of the year, please notify Mr. Romero (aromero@pablonerudaacademy.org)
Inappropriate clothing
With the weather getting warmer, this is just a reminder to all staff to inform the safety team or administration when there is a students that is inappropriately dressed.
New Skedula anecdotal option
To help support the work with students and student grouping, we have added a new anecdotal option on Skedula – “Successful Strategies.”  This will allow the PNA community to share successful strategies that work with individual students.
Summer School
Teachers and Paraprofessionals that are interested in working traditional summer school, and/or any other paid work for schools this summer you must apply to do so at the Summer School Online Application.  Completing the application only makes you eligible to be hired for summer positions, and it does not guarantee work.  The Summer School Online Application may be found at the following link: https://www.nycenet.edu/summerjobs/
Open Market Hiring System
The New York City Open Market Hiring System opened Wednesday, April 15th and will be available through August. The system is used by teachers and other staff to view and apply for opportunities across the city. Once open, the system can be accessed at the following link:
