PROSE meeting recap
The purpose of the PROSE meeting which was held on July 2nd and open to all, was to review next year’s daily schedule.  The team looked at the benefits as well as the challenges with our current schedule, specifically the flipping of 1st and 3rd period classes.  The team came to a consensus to no longer flip 1st and 3rd periods.  In doing so this will allow teachers to manage lateness for only one class each week, and also place more accountability on the students to come to school on time.  We will support the transition to this new change by developing new strategies such as automated phone calls for students who are late, based on 1st period attendance taken on Skedula.
Team meeting survey
One of the PROSE proposals that was submitted was for the school to have more flexibility when it comes to overtime.  In order to gauge the work of our teams, teachers and admin worked on a system to compensate for work outside of meeting time.  We are asking all teachers to complete a form so that we can better gauge the amount of hours that are needed for each team.  You may find the form at the following link:

Summer meetings/work
Many of the meetings that occur over the summer are meetings that are open to all teachers.  Teacher compensation for summer work not associated with students will be paid at training rate (Except PROSE which is voluntary).
Curriculum Maps
Curriculum Maps will be due the day we return to school.  The accreditation team has worked all year to transform the curriculum map rubric into an easy to use checklist.  All of the curriculum maps will be going through the committee for approval for next year.  The new checklist may be accessed at the Curriculum Planning Page:
