Update Bulletin Boards -
In preparation for Parent-Teacher Conferences, please ensure bulletin boards are updated.  A walkthrough will be conducted at the end of the day on Monday, March 7th.  As a reminder, a bulletin board does not need to be restricted to the final product; you may display the process of work that has been occurring in the classroom that will lead to the final product.   You may refer to the PNA staff handbook for additional information on bulletin board expectations:  https://sites.google.com/site/pablonerudaacademynyc/pna-staff-handbook
PNA Lesson Planning Process
During the last staff professional development, we were able to go through the PNA Lesson Planning process as a group.  Some teachers have asked to have the process readily available.  The PNA Lesson Planning Process has now been posted to our curriculum planning page.  The Process as well as other curriculum resources, can be found at the following link: https://sites.google.com/site/pnacurriculumplanning/curriculum-planning-templates
Passes and students leaving classroom
A student who needs to the leave the classroom for any reason, must have a pass.  If they do not, a safety team member will redirect them back to class for the pass.  This will allow the safety team to concentrate on students that are not following protocol.
School Communication Team (Support and Follow)
The School Communication team is managing PNA’s first Twitter account.  The account is updated regularly so our parents and school community can stay informed of events happening in our school.  If you have a Twitter, you can follow the team @PNA_INFO. If you do not have a Twitter account, you can access the tweets at the following link: https://twitter.com/PNA_INFO. #PNA
Pennies for Patients
Ms. Santos is leading her yearly campaign to collect donations for Pennies for Patients.  The proceeds will go to support Leukemia & Lymphoma Research, and collections will be accepted until the end of March.
Youth Court Referrals and Support
The PNA Youth Court is a great alternative to traditional disciplinary action.  If you have a situation where you believe an alternative disciplinary action may be a superior response, please use the Youth Court Referral form.  The form can be accessed at the form page on our PNA google site. (https://sites.google.com/site/pablonerudaacademynyc/pna-meeting-notes). If you have any questions about the Youth Court, please contact Mr. Dinner (ldinner@pablonerudaacademy.org).
