NYSESLAT Testing - Continues
All ELL students are required to take the NYSESLAT each
spring. The remaining three parts of
this exam will be administered from May 2-13.
Detailed schedules were emailed to teachers, and linked below. Please take a look to see which students will
be testing on which days so that you can plan accordingly. Make-up testing will also be taking place in
the afternoons, so please allow Ms. Wanda and Ms. Niove to use your classroom
for testing.

Dress Code - Anecdotal
There is a new anecdotal tab on Skedula titled “Dress
Code Violation.” Please use it when you
see a student wearing something that is not appropriate for school. The ladder of discipline for dress code
infractions is as follows: 1st Offense – Student receives a warning
and a call home; 2nd Offense – Student receives lunch detention and
a call home; 3rd Offense – Student is removed from the classroom for
the day and a call is made to the parent; 4th Offense – Parent is
contacted to pick up student from school or to bring a change of clothing. Please contact Mr. Torres (ttorres@pablonerudaacademy.org) if you have any questions.
…
Basketball Club
We are thrilled to have over 20 student members
participating in this semester’s basketball club. Please follow normal disciplinary procedures
with these students. Document all
challenges in Skedula and keep Deans and Admin in the loop. The safety team will speak with club advisors
on your behalf.

Co-Planning opportunity
Thanks to the hard work of the Grants and Partnerships
team, we were able to secure a grant to support the ELLs in our school. Part of the grant money will allow Ms. Wanda
and Ms. Niove to co-plan with teachers that do not have ELL push in
services. If you are interested in
taking advantage of this opportunity, you may contact Ms. Wanda (wlinares@pablonerudaacademy.org) or Ms. Niove (NTheoharides@pablonerudaacademy.org) to set up your co-planning sessions.
