Floor Cleaning

Our custodial staff has informed us that they will mop our classrooms once a week if we put up the chairs at the end of the day. Effective immediately, please have students put up chairs at the end of the day each Wednesday.

DOE Professional Development Opportunities

Members of administration are contacting departments and staff members regarding DOE PD opportunities via email. If you come across a PD opportunity that you would like to attend, please email your department’s Assistant Principal.

Campus Library

The newly renovated Stevenson Campus Library is now open. Students can request a pass (from the main office) to go to the library during lunch. If teachers would like to reserve library space, schedule a class visit, or reserve a book, an email should be sent to Library.AESEC.Whitehead@gmail.com. When reserving space or scheduling a class visit, please include the requested date and time, number of participants, special equipment needs, and special student needs.

Showcasing Student Work (Reminder)

Students feel a sense of pride and ownership of their environment when their great work is showcased. An essential element of a well-developed Physical Space (PNA Instructional Framework area #4) is that “student work is showcased both inside and outside of the room”. Please ensure that you are attending to this important area of the Instructional Framework. Hallway bulletin board assignments are in the appendix of the PNA Staff Handbook. Please see me (scook6@schools.nyc.gov) if you have questions or need assistance.
