PNA Spirit Week and Fall Dance
PNA spirit week begins on Monday and ends on Friday with a fall dance for students. Our Student Government has planned the activities and placed signs throughout the hallways. Please inform your students of these events. PNA students may bring one guest from the campus to the dance. Tickets are $3 and students can purchase them during lunch. Chaperones are needed. Please contact Annie (aheller7@schools.nyc.gov) if you would like to chaperone.

2nd Marking Period Ends
The second marking period ends on Friday. Report Card grades will be due Tuesday, October 26th. Report Card grades should include all work that students have completed during the first and second marking periods. EGG files will be emailed. As a reminder, if you are using Teacher Ease you do not need to submit EGGs. Please see David (dliu2@schools.nyc.gov) with questions.

Fire Drill Reminders

Staff Meeting
Our second Staff Meeting for the month will take place this Wednesday from 2:55 to 3:40. This week we will offer targeted PD sessions. The sessions will include Salesforce, Academic Rigor and College Readiness in PNA Classrooms, and Handling Difficult Questions in an Advisory Setting. You will sign up for one of these sessions Wednesday morning when you sign-in. A more detailed description of the sessions as well as their locations will be provided at that time.

National Anti-Bullying Day
Wednesday is National Anti-Bullying day. You are encouraged to wear purple on this day. In order to bring attention to this very important issue and address situations currently occurring between PNA students, advisory activities this week will focus on this topic. Please check your mailbox for suggested activities.

Shared Outreach Space
A telephone line will soon be installed in the Teacher’s Lounge. This will allow you to contact families of your students during the day. In addition, there is now a telephone and computer in Alex and Monica’s office that you may use for outreach.

Floor Cleaning (REMINDER)
Our custodial staff has informed us that they will mop our classrooms once a week if we put up the chairs at the end of the day. Effective immediately, please have students put up chairs at the end of the day each Wednesday.
