Student Feast & Staff Potluck (Reminder)

There will be a Thanksgiving Feast for students and staff potluck on Wednesday, November 24th. The Thanksgiving Feast is being organized by Grade Teams. Monica is organizing the staff potluck. See Monica if you have not yet signed up to bring a dish to share with the staff.

IMPACT Visit

On Monday we will have a visit from the Office of School and Youth Development. They are coming to observe the entire Stevenson campus. You should expect visitors to your classrooms, in the hallways, and in the Café. Please help us on Monday by standing at your door welcoming and ushering students into class. In addition, please ensure that students are not wearing hats in the hall and in your classrooms. If you need help addressing a specific student, members of the Safety and Discipline Team can assist.

Copy Machines

Our goal is to have two working copy machines in the teachers’ lounge at all times. Please assist us in maintaining the machines. If you notice one of the machines is not working, please inform Gizette immediately.

Chancellor’s Memo Regarding Changes to the Progress Report

In this week’s Principals’ Weekly, Chancellor Klein announced changes to next year’s NYC Progress Report. This includes incorporating college and career readiness accountability. Next year’s reports will include new metrics for high schools (a College Prep Course Index, a College Readiness Index, and College Enrollment Rate). See David if you want directions on how to access the full memo.

3-on-3 Tournament & 3 Point Shootout

We had a successful 3-on-3 Tournament and 3 Point Shootout with students from schools all over the campus. Thank you to everyone who participated in and attended this successful event. A special thanks to Tim, Pedro, Ed, and Gil for coaching, organizing, and supervising the event.

Door Stops

We have received a shipment of door stops. Please see Monica if you need one. Books should not be used to prop open doors.
