Summer School

Session Two Credit Recovery starts this Wednesday, July 11th. Summer classes will run Monday through Thursday from 8:30 to 11:00 and 11:10 to 1:40. During session two, students will be able to recover credits in the following courses:

- Physical Science

- Life Science

- English

- Social Studies

Summer Bridge Begins!

The first session of Summer Bridge begins Monday, July 18th and runs through Friday, July 29th. This session is being led by Mr. Torres and Mr. Barnes. All incoming 9th grade students have been notified. Students will be working on developing their literacy and math skills each morning, and will engage in teambuilding activities with the support of BISCEP every afternoon. In addition, this week they will attend field trips on Wednesday and Friday. If you are interested in volunteering to be a part of any of these activities, please contact Ms. Heller at:

Curriculum Week Cancelled

Due to budget cuts, this year’s Curriculum Week has been cancelled. All teachers officially report on Tuesday September 6th. Teachers will engage in two full days of professional development on Tuesday, September 6th and Wednesday September 7th. As a reminder, curriculum maps aligned the new Common Core State Standards are due for all courses by the end of the day on Tuesday, September 6th. Teams and pairs of teachers are encouraged to utilize PNA space to work on curriculum planning throughout the summer. Interested teachers should contact Ms. Cook (scook6@schools.nyc.gov). PNA will be open on Monday, August 29th for teachers to come in a plan and set-up their classrooms.
