PNA Field Day & Activities Fair
Our first Field Day will be taking place on Friday, October 7th. The Field Day will include an Activities Fair, where students will be able to sign-up for afterschool and lunchtime clubs/activities that they are interested in. As a reminder, staff members who are interested in running an activity should complete a School Activity Proposal Form. This Form can be found at the following link:
Instead of attending Department and Grade Team meetings, all staff members will be participating in Field Day activities. A sign-up sheet will be placed with the sign-in sheet in the mornings throughout the week. Please sign-up for an activity that you are interested in.

Engagement Walkthrough Best Practices
A walkthrough of all Student Learning Communities was completed during the month of September. The lens of the walkthrough was Engagement. All SLC teachers have received their individual reports detailing low inference observations. A list of best practices was generated. These best practices align to each of the Danielson Elements under the Engagement section of the PNA Instructional Framework Rubric. The best practices can be found at the following link:

Progress Report Grades
Progress Report Grades are due on Wednesday by 8:00 am. All teachers will receive PADS from Skedula. Teachers should use this form to confirm progress report grades. Progress Reports are being given to students on Friday, prior to the Field Day. If you have questions or need assistance, contact Mr. Liu (dliu2@schools.nyc.gov). As a reminder, parent log-in information for the Skedula system were distributed to families during Back to School Night, and were mailed home this week. Parents will be logging on to view their child’s grades, attendance, etc. Please ensure that you are updating information on a regular basis.

New York Cares Day @ PNA
PNA will be hosting New York Cares Day on Saturday, October 15th. Volunteers will be painting and assisting in the library. This will be an amazing opportunity for our school.
