Back to School Kick-Off & Honor Roll Celebration a Success!

PNA’s annual Back to School Kick-Off and Honor Roll celebration was a huge success. Approximately 55 PNA families attended the event (that’s more than 160 people). In addition, over 70% of the staff stayed and welcomed PNA families to the 2011-2012 school year. Parents were very excited about the school, and were heard making statements such as “I’m so impressed”. Thank you to everybody who contributed to this very successful night.

School Activity Proposals

PNA will hold a Field Day on Friday, October 7th. As we did last year, the Field Day will include an Activities Fair. This will give students the opportunity to sign-up for afterschool and lunchtime clubs/activities. Staff members who are interested in running an activity should complete a School Activity Proposal Form. The form can be found at the following link:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/viewform?hl=en_US&formkey=dDNXRDhGOUV3d0U3NFUzbHJVUmRlbGc6MQ#gid=0

Contact Ms. Heller (aheller7@schools.nyc.gov) if you have questions or need assistance.

Ladder of Referral

All staff members must follow the Ladder of Referral outlined in the Student Policies & Procedures section of the PNA Staff Handbook. As a reminder, students should not be removed from class for not having supplies, for arriving late to class, or for minor disruptions. Please utilize Skedula to log any infractions. Contact Mr. Liu (dliu2@schools.nyc.gov) if you have any questions or concerns.

Visitor Protocols

Effective immediately, all visitors must be escorted from the campus lobby, to the PNA main office. In addition, visitors must be escorted out of the building as well. Please inform your visitors that upon arrival, there may be a delay of a few minutes so we can locate an available PNA staff member to travel to the lobby and pick them up.

New Forms!

Two new forms have been developed. Please use the iLearn Troubleshooting form to report an issue a student is having with an iLearn class. The Maintenance Request form should be used to submit a request for custodial services. The forms can be found at the following links:
