Hard Lockdown Procedures

In the coming weeks, the campus will go through a hard lockdown GRP drill. As a reminder, when there is a hard lockdown, all staff and students must remain in their location, with the door locked, and the lights out. Additionally, everyone must move to the back of the classroom (away from doors). For a review of the GRP protocols, see the link below:

See Mr. Liu if you have any questions.

Direct Teaching Walkthrough

This Monday, members of our network team will join administration and conduct an instructional walkthrough. The lens for this walkthrough will be the Direct Teaching area of our Instructional Framework. Please ensure you have a copy of your lesson plan accessible for visitors. All teachers should expect visitors to one of their classes. The walkthroughs will take place between 1st and 8th periods. NYSESLAT Testing

NYSESLAT testing has begun for our ELL students. The ELL department will be administering the speaking portion of this mandatory state test. The speaking portion is a one-on-one test that takes around 15 minutes per student. There are currently 69 ELL students attending PNA, and approximately three to four students per period will be pulled from your classes to take the exam. See Ms. Heller (aheller7@schools.nyc.gov) if you have questions.
