Emergency Lesson Plans (URGENT REMINDER)
As stated in the PNA Staff Handbook:
In order to maintain structure and continuity of instruction, you will be asked to submit three days worth of lesson plans for each class at the beginning of each semester to be kept on file in the main office. These will be used ONLY IF you are physically unable to email work. The plans should relate to your content area and should be adaptable for use at any time during the year. With your lesson plans, you should include directions, all necessary copies for students, and any other relevant information.
Emergency lesson plans are due to Ms. Cook by the end of day on Wednesday, September 17th.
Annual Family Back-to-School Kick-Off & Honor Roll Celebration
Thursday, September 20th is the annual PNA Family Back-to-School Kick-Off. Parents are invited to the school to meet their students’ teachers and visit their classrooms. A Spring Honor Roll Celebration and Parent-Teacher Association meeting will also take place. This is an important opportunity for staff to meet parents and welcome them to PNA for the school year. All staff are strongly encouraged to attend. Please ensure that your bulletin boards have something related to your classroom (i.e. student work, course information, lesson/unit information, etc.).
Observations
Informal and formal observations and walkthroughs have begun. As a reminder, teachers are required to have an accessible lesson plan available at all times. A lesson is considered unsatisfactory if a lesson plan is not available. See Mr. Liu (dliu@pablonerudaacademy.org) if you have any questions.
Look Like a Student
Part of the PNA PBIS program asks students to “Look Like a Student”. This includes hats off, pants pulled up, back-packs off, heads up, and following the PNA dress code. Please ensure that all students “look like students” in your classrooms at all times.
PNA Email Groups
One advantage of the new @pablonerudaacademy.org email addresses is the increased ability to quickly email a group. There are several groups that you can use (such as grade teams, departments, administration, etc.). A list of available groups can be found on the second page of the document found at the following link:
Student Email Accounts
If you are asking students to have email accounts for your class, please contact Ms. Heller (aheller@pablonerudaacademy.org) ASAP. Teachers who are requiring email accounts for their students are piloting the @pablonerudaacademy.org student email accounts.
School Activities Proposal Form (REMINDER)
PNA’s after school programs offer students activities that enrich curriculum areas as well as opportunities to develop their skills and interests. Students will be signing-up for activities at Field Day (9/28), and activities will begin October 9th. Staff members interested in conducting an after school activity/club for the Fall term should submit a proposal by Friday, September 21st using the following form:
