PNA Field Day &
Activities Fair
This school year’s first Field Day will take place on Friday, September
28th. The Field Day will include an Activities Fair, where students
will be able to sign-up for afterschool and lunchtime clubs/activities that
they are interested in. Instead of attending Department and Grade Team
Meetings, all staff members will be participating in Field Day activities. A
sign-up sheet will be placed with the sign-in sheet in the morning. Please

Saturday Academy
This year, PNA will be running a Saturday Academy throughout the school
year. Students have been scheduled for core classes in order to earn missing
credits. With the changes in the Academic Policy Guidelines, and the
limitations around credit recovery, Saturday Academy is now a very important
way for students to make-up classes that they need towards graduation. Students
have received their schedules and phone calls are being made. Please have
conversations with your students and parents about the importance of this
program.

Look Like a Student
(REMINDER)
Part of the PNA PBIS
program asks students to “Look Like a Student”. This includes hats off, pants
pulled up, back-packs off, heads up, and following the PNA dress code. Please
ensure that all students “look like students” in your classrooms at all times. Ensure you address any student who has their
head down.

New York Cares Day @
PNA
Save the date! PNA will be hosting our second New York Cares Day on
Saturday, October 13th. Volunteers will be working on projects
around the campus, most importantly the re-painting of the gym corridor. This
will once again be an amazing opportunity for our school to come together with
students, staff, and families of schools on the campus, as well as volunteers
from all over NYC and beyond and work on improving our campus. Staff
participation is needed and strongly encouraged. More details will be
