Teacher Mid-Year Self-Assessment
All teachers should complete the Mid-Year Self-Assessment form by the morning of Monday, January 28th (prior to their Mid-Year meeting). Mid-Year meetings will begin on this date. The form can be found at the following link:
Some teachers submitted additional information in their Professional Contributions Form that can be used to complete the Mid-Year Self-Assessment form. If you would like your information, email Ms. Cook (scook@pablonerudaacdemy.org) so you are able to copy and paste the submitted information into your Self-Assessment.
Exam & Proctoring Schedules (UPDATED)
Teachers will be notified through their PNA Email address if there are any changes to their proctor assignments. An updated comprehensive proctoring schedule can be found at the following link:
Proctoring Instructions
Please ensure you are familiar with all proctor instructions, including those that are new this year. The Power Point presentation that Ms. Heller reviewed at this month’s Staff Meeting (which highlights changes), can be found at the following link:
The PNA Regents Proctoring Instructions can be found at the following link (proctors will also receive hard copies in their bins):
Contact Ms. Heller (aheller@pablonerudaacademy.org) if you have questions or concerns.
Prepare Classrooms for Testing
If your classroom is being used for testing, please ensure information on bulletin boards and walls are covered. Additionally, please arrange student desks in rows and clear all information from the whiteboard at the front of the room. All classroom door windows must be completely uncovered and unblocked.  Contact Mr. Liu (dliu@palonerudaacademy.org) if you have questions or need assistance.
Fall Term Grades
Fall Term grades will be due by 8:00am on Thursday, January 24th. PADS is now open. As a reminder, these grades are an accumulation of all Fall marking periods. Contact Mr. Liu (dliu@pablonerudaacademy.org) if you have questions.
Classroom Doors
All doors should remain locked anytime there is no one in the room. Ensure doors are locked even if being left vacant briefly. Please notify administration immediately if a door is broken or not able to be locked. Also ensure laptop carts are locked and away from door windows at the end of each day. Contact Mr. Liu (dliu@palbonerudaacademy.org) if you have questions.
3rd Period Attendance Folders
In an effort to reduce interruptions to 3rd period instruction, beginning Tuesday, January 29th, 3rd period attendance folders will be placed with the sign-in sheet in the mornings. Please pick up your folder when you come sign-in in the morning. Folders will be picked up during 4th period. Please ensure that attendance is taken sometime during 3rd period and any handouts are distributed. Contact Mr. Liu (dliu@pablonerudaacademy.org) if you have questions.
Parent Outreach for Students in Danger of Failing (REMINDER)
The final Fall marking period ends on Friday, January 18th. These grades will be uploaded onto student transcripts. Parents should not be surprised that their student has failed. All teachers must ensure that they have contacted the homes of students who are in danger of failing for the Term. Ms. Santos is available to assist with translation.
Leaving Students Unattended and Dismissing Early (REMINDER)
As a reminder, students should never be left unattended, even for a brief time. Additionally, teachers should provide instruction through the end of the class period, and students should not be let out prior to the end of a period (especially at the end of the day). If your classroom does not have a working clock, please fill out the Supply Request Form and request a classroom clock.
Bathroom Passes and Classroom Logs (REMINDER)
All classrooms are required to have a log of students who are allowed to leave with the bathroom pass. This can be the same log that is used to record late students. Please ensure that your classroom has a bathroom log and that all students are required to sign-out when they are taking the pass to leave the classroom.
Fundraising (REMINDER)
The DOE has strict guidelines for schools around fundraising. All school-sponsored fundraisers are required to have been approved by administration. Individual students should not be selling anything. Notifications of fundraisers will be communicated through the Weekly Update. Please note that baked goods and other non-packaged food items are completely prohibited. Students caught selling items without authorization are subject to disciplinary action. Additionally, staff members should report students who they observe selling items. Any staff member who purchases unauthorized items or fails to report a student selling unauthorized items is also subject to disciplinary action. Contact Mr. Liu (dliu@pablonerudaacademy.org) if you have questions.
