Update Bulletin Boards (DUE WEDNESDAY)
All bulletin boards should be updated in preparation for Spring Parent Conferences. Supplies can be requested using the PNA Supply Request Form. Guidelines / best practices can be found in the PNA Staff Handbook, located at the following link:
Bulletin Board updates should be completed by the end of the day on Wednesday, March 13th.
Physical Space Walkthrough
In order to ensure the school is ready for Parent Conferences, a Physical Space Walkthrough will be conducted at the end of the day on Wednesday, March 13th. The focus of the walkthrough will include hallway and classroom bulletin boards, classroom neatness and cleanliness, classroom library organization, etc. As you are preparing your classroom, please ensure it reflects the work that you have been doing during the Spring Term. Contact Ms. Cook (scook@pablonerudaacademy.org) if you have questions.
Attendance Procedures for Students with Related Services
Students who receive related services (such as speech, counseling, etc.) must have their attendance accounted for. The expectation is for students to report to their class so their attendance can be captured. Service providers will pick students up from their classes. If a student is in your class for any portion of a period, they should be marked present (or late if they arrive late).  Contact Mr. Liu (dliu@pablonerudaacademy.org) if you have questions.
Student Surveys
Beginning next week, all students will be completing the Student Survey in SLC and prep classes. All surveys will be completed online. Additional information will be emailed to SLC and prep teachers. Contact Ms. Heller (aheller@pablonerudaacademy.org) if you have questions.
SLC Curriculum Updates
This spring, the SLC & College Readiness Team will be revising SLC curriculum. Revisions include adding units on the following topics: technology, career, and college readiness. The team will also work on re-writing 11th grade fall and 12th grade spring curriculum maps. Any staff member interested in participating in curriculum development is encouraged to attend SLC & College Readiness Team meetings. Meetings will begin after Spring Break. Contact Ms. Cook (scook@pablonerudaacademy.org) if you have questions.
Portfolio Development Team
The Portfolio Development Team will be developing systems and procedures for Student Work Folders. Some of the work will include systems for how folders transition with students from grade to grade, how they are used with students in classes, and what happens to the work as students graduate. Any staff member interested in participating in this work is encouraged to attend team meetings. The first meeting will take place this Wednesday, March 13th after school. Contact Ms. Cook (scook@pablonerudaacademy.org) if you have questions.
Student Chairs
As previously stated, all teachers must ensure student chairs are put up at the end of each day. Additionally, all student chairs should be taken down at the beginning of each day. Leaving chairs on desks creates a safety hazard for students. Please have students take down all chairs, even if no one will be sitting in the chair during the period.
