Night
The last Family Night for the 2012-2013 school year will take place
Thursday the 30th. All staff members are encouraged to attend. The
night will include an Art Show, Talent Show, awards ceremony (including an
induction of our first National Honor Society inductees and a ring ceremony for
seniors ), and a PTA meeting (which will include elections for next year).

Staff
Luncheon
As in the past, on June 6th’s PD day PNA will have a staff
luncheon. This luncheon will be a potluck. Everyone is encouraged to bring a
dish to share. Mr. Torres will be coordinating this event. Staff will be asked

Prom
This year’s Senior Prom will take place on Wednesday, June 5th
from 7pm to 11pm at Split Rock Golf Course in the Bronx. Students are paying
$80 and staff are offered a discounted rate of $40 to attend. It will be an
amazing time for students and staff. It is fast approaching! See Ms. Heller to
purchase your tickets.

License
Plate Collection
As a result of the high volume of cars parking in the main campus parking
lot behind the building as well as several other safety concerns (including
cars parking illegally, blocking access for deliveries to the kitchen, etc.),
several changes will now take place. Staff members’ car license plates are
required to be registered with the school. Parking spaces will be re-painted
and cars are only allowed to park in appropriately designated spaces.
Cars parking in handicapped parking spaces are required to display a state.
Shield. Parking will continue to be on a first come basis. All other cars must
utilize street parking. In the near future, the campus will be provided
services of a private contractor to tow illegally parked or unregistered cars.
Retrieval of cars and expense for towing is the responsibility of the owner. To

Calendar Correction
Some versions of the PNA School calendar incorrectly list Tuesday, June
11th as the last day of the 5th marking period. The last
instructional day for the 5th marking period is Monday, June 10th.
Regents exams begin on Tuesday, June 11th. 5th
marking period grades will still be due on Friday, June 14th.

Windows and Air Conditioners
As the weather warms, all staff should check to ensure all windows are
closed and air conditioners are turned off before leaving each day.

Hiring System
The New York City Open Market Hiring System opens Monday, April 15th
and will be available through August. The system is used by teachers and other
staff to view and apply for opportunities across the city. Once open, the
