There will be a Staff Meeting on Friday, October 4th
at 2:00 P.M. The full staff will meet in room 485. We will be reviewing the school
calendar, teams update, General Response Protocol and the new observation
process. There will also be a short presentation by Ms. Marge Whitehead,

Lunchtime & After School Activities
All PNA activities will begin the week of October 7th.
Students began signing up at field day for various clubs they are interested
in. Please work on promoting your club/activity by putting up information and
signs and letting students know when you will be meeting. Email Ms. Heller (aheller@pablonerudaacademy.org)

Assessment Make-Ups
There are students who will need to make-up or
finish the Performance Assessments that were administered on Friday. More
information about how and when this will happen will be communicated next week.

Attendance
▪ Attendance folders are expected to be picked up before
3rd period and I understand that it might not be ready in time
for those who come in early. However, it is your responsibility to pick it up
before 3rd period at the main office. If you have a challenge
picking them up before 3rd period please contact Ms. Lopez.
▪ New Confirmation sheets were placed in your
mailboxes today, please fill them out as soon as possible and place them in the
mailbox of Sidney Hooks.

Changes to the 2013
– 20114 Calendar
Please note that there have been changes to the high school calendar for
Regents administration.
▪ Friday, January 31st which was previously scheduled as a
Chancellor’s Conference Day for staff development, is now a scoring day for
Regents exams
▪ Monday, February 3rd which was previously scheduled as the
start of the Spring Semester, is now Staff Development Day with no students in
attendance
▪ Tuesday, September 4th is now the start of the Spring
Semester

Selection Option (Reminder)

Initial Planning Conferences have been completed. If you would like to change
your observation selection option or schedule a time to further discuss your

Individual
Student Passes (Reminder)
All classrooms have
a pass that should be used when students are leaving the room to go to the
bathroom or get a drink of water. Individual passes should be used when
students are sent out for any other reason (i.e. going to the main office,
seeing another teacher, etc.) Passes will be in teacher’s mailboxes next week.
You are not required to use these passes, but may help to write a quick pass
for a student. See Ms. Heller if you need additional passes.

Like a Student (REMINDER)
Part of the PNA
PBIS program asks students to “Look Like a Student”. This includes hats off,
pants pulled up, back-packs off, heads up, and following the PNA dress code.
Please ensure that all students “look like students” in your classrooms at all
times. Ensure you address any student
who has their head down.
