New Personnel
Please welcome two new staff members to PNA..  Ms. Caro has been brought on as a school aide to support us now that Ms. Morillo has transitioned to being a paraprofessional.  Ms. Del Valle has been brought on to be our new Assistant Principal.  Please help support them in the next coming weeks as they transition into their new roles.
NYC SchoolSurveys
Ms. Lebron is the point person if there are any questions or if you want to support the school in this process.  We will be continuing the survey raffle for teachers.  This year we will be awarding 3 gift cards for the lucky raffle winners.  Once you complete your surveys, please print the confirmation page and submit the page along with your name to Ms. Lebron.  Any questions on the NYC School Survey please contact Ms. Lebron:
Walkthroughs
The next set of walkthroughs will be conducted beginning on March 17th.  The focus for this round of walkthroughs will be Assessment/Data.  If you would like additional information on Assessment and Data I would view past walkthroughs as well as the PNA instructional framework rubric. See the PNA Instructional Framework Rubric for details. You can also view best practices from previous assessment/data walkthroughs at the following link:
Student Chairs (Reminder)
All teachers must ensure student chairs are put up at the end of each day. Additionally, all student chairs should be taken down at the beginning of each day. Leaving chairs on desks creates a safety hazard for students. Please have students take down all chairs, even if no one will be sitting in the chair during the period.
Bells (Reminder)
Please be advised that the custodial staff is working very hard to try to rectify the bells in our building.  Eventually the bells will be off in our hallways and classrooms.
Update Bulletin Boards
All bulletin boards should be updated in preparation for Spring Parent Conferences. Supplies can be requested using the PNA Supply Request Form. Guidelines / best practices can be found in the PNA Staff Handbook, located at the following link:
Bulletin Board updates should be completed by the end of the day on Wednesday, March 26th.
New Lesson Plan Format (Reminder)
As a reminder, part of the reason we wanted to change our template was to address Academic Rigor, Differentiation, and Understanding. Contact your grade team leader or department head if you have questions.  The Lesson Plan Template can be found at the following link:
College and Career resources
Ilearn has partnered with Gale TERC(Testing Educational Resource Center) to provide free resources for college and career readiness that include free online AP practice exams as well as online textbooks.  This is a great resource to use to support our high achieving students even if you are not teaching an AP class.  In order to access the materials, you need to complete a simple registration.  The resources can be found at the following link:
