Picture Day (Action Required)
On Monday October 20th 2014, seniors will be taking yearbook and senior photos in the auditorium.  Ms. Lebron will indicate to students the picture appointment time.  During the day, please make your way down to the Auditorium to take your staff Yearbook Photo.  If you do not go on Monday, admin has instructed the yearbook club to use the photo on your School ID Card.
Lesson Plan Resources
The Building Librarian has secured PNA free access to Learning Bird (www.learningbird.com).  Learning Bird has a variety of lessons, videos, and other resources at different levels.  Everyone at PNA has access to the resources with the following password: GTR94RI8
Technology Maintenance Form
Please continue to use the Technology Maintenance Form.  We understand that some of the technology in the school is not working properly, and ask that you continue to use the form and be patient as we work through the issues.  The Technology Maintenance form can be accessed at the form page on our PNA google site. (https://sites.google.com/site/pablonerudaacademynyc/pna-meeting-notes).
Youth Court Referrals
The PNA Youth Court is a great alternative to traditional disciplinary action.  If you have a situation where you believe an alternative disciplinary action may be a superior response, please use the Youth Court Referral form.  The form can be accessed at the form page on our PNA google site. (https://sites.google.com/site/pablonerudaacademynyc/pna-meeting-notes). If you have any questions about the Youth Court please contact Mr. Dinner (ldinner@pablonerudaacademy.org) or Ms. O’Connell (hoconnell@pablonerudaacademy.org).
Safety and Discipline Support (Reminder)
Please continue to be at the classroom doors and getting students into the classroom.  Your contribution in the hallways is greatly appreciated.  Also please synchronize your personal time keeping devices to the school clock (Time Clock/Main Office Clock).  There have been some instances where classes have been opened late which have caused some safety challenges.  Also please do not give bathroom passes out in the first 10 or last 10 minutes of the period.  Bathrooms are locked at that time.
General Response Protocol (GRP) – Evacuation and Re-Entry
During an evacuation teachers need to take with them the Assembly Card, as well as the class attendance.  Teachers then lead students out of the building.  Once outside, it is expected that you use the Assembly Card and stay with your class.  Upon Re-Entry of the building, you should lead your class to the scanning area by the general parking lot before you enter the building.  If you have any questions about the General Response Protocol, please refer to the GRP Poster in your classroom or contact Ms. Del Valle (jdelvalle@pablonerudaacademy.org).
Look like a Student (Reminder)
Part of the PNA PBIS program asks students to “Look Like a Student.”  This includes hats off, pants pulled up, heads up, and following the PNA dress code.  Please ensure that you consistently promote all your students to “Look Like Students” in your classrooms at all times.
