Parent Outreach (Action
Required)
Please ensure that you are reaching out to parents when
students are not meeting classroom expectations in preparation for parent conferences,
and continue to document the outreach on Skedula. Administration will be pulling data from
Skedula to ensure that all teachers are communicating to parents
consistently. If you are not using
Skedula to document outreach, you will be required to submit phone call logs
when asked.

Parent-Teacher
Conferences
Parent-Teacher Conferences take place Thursday evening
and Friday afternoon. Under the new
contract, the conferences in the evening have been extended from two and a half
hours to three hours. As you speak with
parents throughout the week, please encourage them to attend. Report Cards will be distributed during the
conferences. Dinner will be provided for
all staff.

End of Day Procedures
Due to the distribution of cell phones, students have an
urge to leave the classroom early in order to get their electronics before
everyone else. To help the staff
maintain 8th period, we have installed a bell to signal the end of
the day. Only then may students be
released from the classroom.

Field
Trip – Phone collection
While our electronic policy has changed, our field
trip phone collection policy for trips has not.
It is still expected that teachers plan to collect phones for students
that are going on a trip, and redistribute it to the students once they
leave the building.

School Survey - Student
The NYC School Survey that the students fill out online
have arrived. Please continue having
students complete the surveys in SLC. As
in past years, there will be a pizza party for the grade that has the highest
submission rate. In order to be included
in the tally, please submit completed surveys to Ms. Heller. The deadline for
students to complete the survey is April 2nd. If you have any questions about the school survey,
please contact Ms. Heller.
