Neruda Academy will be welcoming a new staff member, Lissette Pacheco. She will be joining our attendance and safety
team. Lissette has been working at Bronx
Guild for the last few years, and will be transferring to Pablo Neruda Academy

Spring Recess – Securing of personal belongings and
laptop carts
To prepare for the spring recess please ensure all
items are safely secured. As stated in
the PNA Staff Handbook “ALWAYS lock your personal belongings and valuables such
as purses, laptops, etc. Lock each
classroom door whenever you leave the room.”
Beginning 8th period on Thursday, April 2nd, laptop
carts will be removed from classrooms in preparation for spring recess.

Interim Assessment Survey
Please take a few minutes to provide feedback on our
interim assessment and data cycle process.

School Survey - Student
The
deadline for the April 2nd NYC School Survey is April 2nd
. Please continue having students
complete the surveys in SLC. As in past
years, there will be a pizza party for the grade that has the highest
submission rate. In order to be included
in the tally, please submit completed surveys to Ms. Heller. If you have any questions about the school survey,
please contact Ms. Heller.

School Survey – Parent
Students
whose parents did not attend conferences will be given their parent survey on
Monday. Please encourage students to
have their parents fill out the survey and bring it back to school. Once they submit the completed survey in the
main office, they will be entered into a raffle. The deadline and drawing is Thursday, April 2nd.

Report Cards
Students
whose parents did not attend conferences will get their report cards in the
mail next week. Report card grades may
be accessed on Skedula/Pupil Path in the meantime.

Students
are no allowed to sell candy in the school.

Attendance Raffle
There
will be a daily raffle next week for students in attendance. There will also be an additional attendance
raffle drawing for students that have perfect attendance for the week on
Thursday. Please encourage your students
to come to school every day, especially for the last week before spring break.
