Cellphones during Regents
The cellphone system will be modified during Regent exam days.  Cellphones will continue to be collected at scanning.  To ensure students do not have electronics during testing, cellphones will also be distributed from scanning so that students immediately leave the building with their devices.
PTA Invitation
The PTA would like to invite staff to their end of year dinner on Thursday June 11th directly after the PNA Art Show.  The dinner is scheduled to be held in room 483.
Recording Period Attendance
Just to clarify on proper procedures for attendance:  Do not release classes for field days or other activities.  If you are absent or on a field trip, the substitute teacher will be assigned to cover your classes.  The substitute teacher will take attendance on a separate sheet of paper and it will be placed in your mailbox for you to update the attendance for that day.  If you do not receive the attendance from the substitute, please inform Ms. Del Valle (jdelvalle@pablonerudaacademy.org) so that we may address the substitute.
End of year checklist
As you pack up and close your classroom or office for the end of the 2014-2015 school year, please be sure to obtain signatures on your end of year checklist.  The copy of the checklist will be placed in your mailbox at the end of the day Friday, June 5th.  A copy is also available via the following link: https://drive.google.com/a/pablonerudaacademy.org/file/d/0B3PxGWud2LygRG1PSE1WdVltWTNMbWZvQVJjY2dsOWZvS0RJ/view?usp=sharing
Parent outreach for students in danger of failing
Please ensure that you are reaching out to parents when students are not meeting classroom expectations.  The final marking period will end June 15th.  Parents should not be surprised of student failures once they receive their report card.  We must ensure that they have been contacted and informed.  Ms. Santos (ysantos@pablonerudaacademy.org) is available to assist with the contact and translation.
Open Market Hiring System
The New York City Open Market Hiring System opened Wednesday, April 15th and will be available through August. The system is used by teachers and other staff to view and apply for opportunities across the city. Once open, the system can be accessed at the following link:
