Update Bulletin Boards -
In preparation for Parent-Teacher Conferences (Family Night), please ensure bulletin boards are updated.  A walkthrough will be conducted at the end of the day on Monday, September 26th.  As a reminder, a bulletin board does not need to be restricted to the final product, you may display the process of work that has been occurring in the classroom that will lead to the final product.   You may refer to the PNA staff handbook for additional information on bulletin board expectations:  https://sites.google.com/site/pablonerudaacademynyc/pna-staff-handbook
2nd period and 7the period daily attendance
Starting Monday September 29th, official Daily Attendance will be taken twice during the day, once during period 2, and once during period 7 (period 5 on Fridays).  The second attendance period will allow the attendance team to immediately reach out to students that have left prior to the end of their school day.
Emergency Lesson Plans
Three emergency lesson plans are due to Mr. Valencia by Friday, September 30th.  You may give the plans via email or hard copy.  As a reminder, the emergency lesson plans are only used during situations where you and/or your co-teachers are unable to provide work that is related to your current unit.  The expectation is to send work along with your notice of absence for each occurrence.
Evacuation Procedures
Please review the GRP protocols in the staff handbook if you have questions about evacuation procedures.  Remember that if students in your class leave during an evacuation, you are to hold up your GRP card to show the red side and inform a Building Response Team member.  Students, who do not return to your class after a fire drill, should be reported to the safety team immediately.

Achieve 3000 update
Many of you have asked if Achieve 3000 will be available this year.  Sign-in information will be given to us next week, and will be communicated to staff via email.  All students and all teachers will have access to the program.  If you have any questions about Achieve 3000 please contact Mr. Valencia (dvalencia@pablonerudaacademy.org).
Afterschool & Lunchtime Activities Starting the week of October 3rd
Afterschool & Lunchtime Activities will begin the week of October 3rd, if you have not yet submitted a proposal, please do so ASAP
Teacher Vocational Assessments
As we presented at our staff PD day, all teachers will be expected to complete teacher vocational assessments for all students with IEP’s throughout the year.  The Case Manager (Special Education Teacher) will notify you of which student(s) need to be done and by what date.  This is an essential component of the IEP process and needs to be completed in a timely manner.  The teacher vocational assessment form can be found at the following link: https://docs.google.com/a/pablonerudaacademy.org/forms/d/1sq4mNilAURldoVUG342B7w88wGo3QWSykD_fWYm5e3M/viewform?edit_requested=true
