Gala
The Annual PNA Gala is this Wednesday at 6:00. There will be an awards ceremony for all grades, an 11th grade ½ Cap Ceremony, exhibition of student work, and parents will be able to sign their child up for free SES tutoring. Please continue to make phone calls to parents and encourage them to attend this exciting event.

Holiday Toy Drive
Ms. Dillon’s 9th grade advisees are sponsoring a holiday toy drive. If you wish to support them by donating a toy, the drive has begun and continues through December 20th. Toys can be dropped off in the main office. The students have asked that no war related toys be donated. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Dillon or one of her advisees.

Candy Grams
The PNA Student Government is sponsoring a Candy Gram fundraiser for our seniors. Candy Grams are $1.00 and come with a candy cane and a personalized message card. Grams will be sold in the cafeteria during lunchtime and will be delivered during the week of December 20th. If you have questions, please see Mr. Dinner, Mr. Panzer, or one of our Student Government officers.

Attendance Calls
Weekly calls to parents of your advisees should be made during your advisory prep period. Extensive outreach should be made for students who are not attending their advisory period, or who are absent from school more than once in a week. As stated in the PNA Staff Handbook, these calls should be logged in Salesforce. If you are not using Salesforce to log your calls, an alternative call log should be placed in Mr. Liu’s mailbox at the end of each week.

Staff Meeting
Our second staff meeting for December will take place this Wednesday from 2:55 to 3:40. Differentiated PD sessions will be offered. The three session topics will be Teacher Ease, Using the Workshop Model, and Integrating Character Education into the Academic Classroom. Please start to think about which session you would like to attend. A sign-up sheet will be in the main office on Monday morning.

Saturday School and 9th & 10th Period Credit Recovery
Regents prep Saturday Academy has begun and runs every Saturday through January 22nd (excluding Winter Recess) from 8:30 to 11:30. 9th and 10th period credit recovery begins on Monday and is everyday (excluding Wednesdays) until January 18th.
