Gala & Half-Cap Ceremony

The 7th Annual PNA Gala was a huge success. There was an awards ceremony for all grades, an 11th grade Half-Cap Ceremony, and an exhibition of student work. There was a tremendous turn-out of parents, students, and staff. Thank you to everyone who attended the event. Additionally, thank you to those of you who helped plan, organize, and set-up.

Disciplinary Procedures for Teacher Removals of Students

Attached to this week’s Weekly Update email is a memo regarding disciplinary procedures for teacher removals of students. It is an excerpt from the PNA Staff Handbook, and details our ladder of referral, disciplinary referrals, detention procedures, and student removal procedures. Chancellor’s Regulation A-443 (Student Discipline Procedures) is also attached to the email and can be found on the Chancellor’s Regulation CD that was included in your PNA Staff Handbook. It is imperative that everyone reviews these documents. In addition, please be mindful that when a removal is warranted, a student must be escorted out of class. Students should NEVER be sent out of class without being escorted by an adult. If you have questions, please see an administrator.

Computer Lab Utilization

The computer lab is a shared space. You must sign-up with Monica to use this space. Please ensure that you are appropriately supervising students so we can maintain the working equipment in the room. Students should never be left unattended; the room must be cleared of all students before you leave. In addition, please close the door and ensure it is locked when you are finished.
