Teacher Mid-Year Reports and Self-Assessment

All teachers will be receiving a Mid-Year Report which will give an overview of their data from the Fall term. Meetings will be scheduled beginning Monday, January 31st. All teachers should fill out the “PNA Teacher Mid-Year Self Assessment” that was attached to this week’s Weekly Update email prior to these meetings. A completed copy is due at the time of the Mid-Year Report meeting. Please see Ms. Cook (scook6@schools.nyc.gov) if you need assistance filling out the self assessment.

Per Session Time Sheets REMINDERS

Effective immediately, completed per session time sheets should be turned in to Ms. Franqui. In order for time sheets to be submitted for principal approval all areas must be completed and necessary documents attached (i.e. time cards and student sign-in sheets). Please see the “Per Session Procedures Reminders” that was attached to this week’s Weekly Update for a complete list of necessary information. See Ms. Franqui (gfranqui@schools.nyc.gov) if you have questions or need assistance.

Staff Communication & Morning Sign-in Sheet

In an effort to streamline communication, the Weekly Update is the primary tool used to disseminate important information to staff. Occasionally it becomes necessary to communicate other important and time sensitive information. The white board in the office and documents distributed with the staff sign-in sheet are generally used in these instances. Please ensure that you sign-in (upon arrival) each morning and read any accompanying memos, collect items being distributed, and read the white board.

Teacher’s Lounge Keys

In an effort to ensure that all teachers have keys to the Teacher’s Lounge, the door to this room was changed to a “4” key. Please ensure that you return your copy of the previous key to Ms. Franqui as soon as possible.

Kaleidoscope/Performance Series/Acuity Results Spreadsheet

In order to help you gather data on the students in your spring classes, a spreadsheet was created that contains results from Kaleidoscope, Performance Series, and Acuity assessments. This file has been uploaded to PNA’s ARIS Connect community. Contact Mr. Liu (dliu2@schools.nyc.gov) if you need assistance accessing ARIS.

Spring Teacher Schedules (REMINDER)

Tentative spring teacher schedules have been distributed. As with fall schedules, Common Planning days and room assignments are included. Please have one member of each Common Planning team be responsible for keeping the PNA Common Planning Forms (or other artifacts created during these times). Teams may be asked to submit the forms. The PNA Common Planning Form was included in the PNA CTT Handbook and the PNA Staff Handbook.
