Fall Honor Roll Awards Ceremony, Financial Aid Workshop, & Staff vs. Student Tournament
PNA had two successful events this week for our students and their parents. The first was our Fall Honor Roll Awards Ceremony and Financial Aid Workshop. Many students and their families came to celebrate. We nearly doubled the number of students who are on the Principal’s List (with a GPA of 3.7 to 4.0). The night ended with a financial aid workshop for seniors and their families. Thank you to Alex, Monica, Diego, Maria, Howard Burnett, and Ed for organizing and participating.
Our second event was the Staff vs. Student Tournament. The staff won by over 20 points! Many students participated and we had spectators from schools throughout the campus. Thank you to Tim, Gil, Allen, Ed, Alex, Pedro, Harrynson, Tarshaun, Howard Mitchell, Emillio, and Deysi for organizing and participating.

Request for Payment for Daytime Activities
Effective immediately, if you are requesting payment for an activity that was held during the day (such as a lunch time club, etc.) you must fill out a Request for Payment for Daytime Activities form. This form should only be used for activities that take place between 8:05 am and 2:49 pm only. A sign-in sheet must be attached for all activities involving students. There is no need to use this form if you are asked to cover a class. Copies of the form can be found in the main office. The electronic version was attached to this week’s Weekly Update email. Two New PNA Teams!
Two new exciting PNA Teams are meeting for the first time. On Monday, February 28th the School-Wide Data Team will meet in the AP Office from 3:30 to 4:30. This team will be looking at some of the Quality Review feedback around how we are collecting and communicating data on individual students to students and their families. On Tuesday, March 1st the Grants & Partnerships Team will meet to form the iLearn NYC Sub-Committee. PNA has been granted the opportunity to become a part of iLearn NYC next year. This will enable us to offer online classes to our students (including Advanced Placement classes and additional electives). This team will begin planning for next year. Everyone is welcome to join either or both teams. Please attend the meetings if you have any questions.
