PNA School Calendar

The tentative PNA School Calendar can be found at the following link:
https://sites.google.com/site/pnaschoolcalendar2011/

This calendar is tentative and subject to change. Please contact Ms. Heller (aheller7@schools.nyc.gov) if you have any questions.

PNA Teams Sign-Up

PNA’s Theory of Action states that “the school is organized around the notion that collaboration and shared practices and strategies will create a supportive environment to enhance student achievement”. One cornerstone of our collaborative culture is teaming. As you are aware PNA has several teams that meet periodically and drive some of the work of the school. We are asking all staff to complete the “PNA Teams Sign-up Form” and let us know which teams you are interested in being a part of. The form can be found at the following link:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/viewform?hl=en_US&formkey=dGFGNldOYTU3ckxKcnE4SkZYTlo5Nmc6MQ#gid=0

Note: Even if you are a team leader for one of the teams, please select it as one of the teams you are interested in.

PNA Closed

In order to give our custodial staff the opportunity to thoroughly clean the hallways and stairwells, the building will be closed beginning Monday, August 22nd and will re-open Monday, August 29th. All teachers are welcome to come in anytime during the week of the 29th to begin setting up their classrooms, curriculum planning, etc. Ms. Cook is available via email at scook6@schools.nyc.gov the week of the 22nd if you need assistance.

Curriculum Week Cancelled (REMINDER)

Due to budget cuts, this year’s Curriculum Week has been cancelled. All teachers officially report on Tuesday September 6th. Teachers will engage in two full days of professional development on Tuesday, September 6th and Wednesday September 7th. As a reminder, curriculum maps aligned to the new Common Core State Standards are due for all courses by the end of the day on Tuesday, September 6th.
