Observations/Lesson
Plan
Observations and walkthroughs have begun. As mentioned during our staff meeting, as
well as in the staff handbook, the expectation for this year is that a copy of
your lesson plan will be in the door basket outside your room each day. Alternatively you may keep an additional copy
of your lesson plan in a binder or folder labeled “Lesson Plan” on your teacher
desk if you are concerned about leaving it on the door. A lesson rating will be negatively impacted
if there is no lesson plan available.

Observation selection -
Option 4
On Wednesday, September 10th the City announced
that there will be an Option 4 (Minimum of 4 informal observations) for
teachers rated Effective during the 2013-14 school year. Teachers who were rated Effective and have
already selected Option 2 (Minimum of 6 informal observations), your selection
will be automatically changed to Option 4.
Teachers who were rated Effective and have already selected Option 1
(Minimum of 1 Formal, and 3 Informal observations), must notify Mr. Liu if you
would like to change to Option 4.

Parking Lot Entrance
Please be advised that the campus provides a school aide
to monitor parking lot entrance until 8:30am.
After 8:30 AM all staff must enter through the main entrance, there are
no exceptions. This is necessary to
ensure campus safety.

Look Like a Student
(Reminder)
Part of the PNA PBIS program asks students to “Look Like
a Student.” This includes hats off,
pants pulled up, heads up, and following the PNA dress code. Please ensure that you consistently promote
all your students to “Look Like Students” in your classrooms at all times.
