Staff Announcements
Milton Guardado will be out this week due to military
training and will return to work the week of April 20th. He will be taking a military leave of absence
beginning in early May. We look forward
for his safe return to work.

Market Hiring System
The New York City Open Market Hiring System opens
Wednesday, April 15th and will be available through August. The
system is used by teachers and other staff to view and apply for opportunities

End of Day Procedures
Due to the distribution of cell phones, students have an
urge to leave the classroom early in order to get their electronics before
everyone else. To help the staff
maintain 8th period, we have installed a bell to signal the end of
the day. Only then may students be
released from the classroom.

PTA Candy Sale
Students
are not allowed to sell candy in the school.
If you see a student that is violating this rule please reach out to Ms.

Field
Trip – Phone collection
While our electronic policy has changed, our field
trip phone collection policy for trips has not.
It is still expected that teachers plan to collect phones for students
that are going on a trip, and redistribute them to the students once they
leave the building.

The PNA Youth Court is a great alternative to
traditional disciplinary action. If you
have a situation where you believe an alternative disciplinary action may be a
superior response, please use the Youth Court Referral form. The form can be accessed at the form page on
