Outside visitors
On Monday October 26th, the Assistant Superintendent (Sabrina Cook) will be visiting our school.  Ms. Cook will be looking at bulletin boards and visiting classrooms.  Please ensure that you have a printed/written lesson plan available at the door, or at a designated spot in the classroom.
Parent outreach for students in danger of failing
Please ensure that you are reaching out to parents when students are not meeting classroom expectations.  The 2nd marking period as ended and report cards will be mailed next week.  Parents should not be surprised of student failures once they receive their report card.  We must ensure that they have been informed.  Ms. Santos (ysantos@pablonerudaacademy.org) is always available to assist with the contact and translation.
Safety and Discipline Support
Please continue to be at the classroom doors and getting students into the classroom.  Your support will allow safety and support staff to focus on more serious offenses that may occurrol.
Paper Requests
Our school has inherited a lot of legal size paper in all different colors.  Using these supplies will allow us to save funds in our year of fiscal crisis.  If you are able to use legal in lieu of letter size paper, please indicate it on your supply request submission.
Youth Court Referrals and Support
The PNA Youth Court is a great alternative to traditional disciplinary action.  If you have a situation where you believe an alternative disciplinary action may be a superior response, please use the Youth Court Referral form.  The form can be accessed at the form page on our PNA google site. (https://sites.google.com/site/pablonerudaacademynyc/pna-meeting-notes). If you have any questions about the Youth Court, please contact Mr. Dinner (ldinner@pablonerudaacademy.org).
Field Trip Request
Please be advised that field trip requests should be made at least two weeks in advance.  This will allow ample time for admin to ensure the date does not interfere with other events, as well as time to set up transportation and permission slips.  The form is designed for you to think through the systems that are needed on the day of the trip.  When making plans you need to consider: Special transportation accommodations for SWDs; Teachers that will be attending or staying behind on trip day; Teacher that will collect and verify permission slips and attendance; The plan for lunches; and which staff will be in charge of cell phone collection; etc.   Once your trip has been approved, you will receive the approved permission slip for strudent distribution.
