State Grading Policy
Changes – Submitting student grades after the semester is over:
Teachers now have up to 60 days to submit final semester
grades with the approval of administration.
This practice is reserved for students who teachers are granting
additional time to demonstrate enough mastery of coursework to earn a passing
grade. If you are going to use this option,
please give the student a 0 in PADS
and send an email to Mr. Liu (dliu@pablonerudaacademy.org)
with a list of students you are using this option for, and a very short
description of the reason. At any point
within the 60 days you may send an email to Mr. Liu to submit the final grade
for each student, whether it is a passing or failing grade. After 60 days all missing grades will be automatically
changed to F.

Your meeting date and time have been communicated through Regents invitation
letters (Classroom Teachers) or email (Non-Classroom Teachers). Please
ensure you arrive on time for your meeting.

Cell phones during
Regents
The cell phone procedure will be modified during Regent
exam days. Cell phones will continue to
be collected at scanning. To ensure
students do not have electronics during testing, cell phones will also be
distributed from scanning so that students immediately leave the building with
their devices.

Parent outreach for
students in danger of failing
Please ensure that you are reaching out to parents when
students are not meeting classroom expectations. The final marking period will end June 13th. Parents should not be surprised of student
failures once they receive their report card.
We must ensure that they have been contacted and informed. Ms. Santos (ysantos@pablonerudaacademy.org) is available to
assist with the contact and translation.

The New York City Open Market Hiring System opened Friday,
April 15th and will be available through August. The system is used
by teachers and other staff to view and apply for opportunities across the
